Athena NK5.5-201 Digital Piano THE ESSENTIAL
Athena™ NK5.5-201: The Essential Narrow Key Piano
Play with Power. Practice with Comfort.
The Athena NK5.5-201 is an approachable entry into the world of narrow-key digital pianos. Designed specifically for pianists who find traditional 6.5" octave keyboards limiting, this model features a 5.5-inch octave across 88 graded hammer-action keys. By matching the keyboard to the hand—rather than forcing the hand to adapt—the 201 makes playing easier, healthier, and more accessible from the very first lesson.
Designed for the Developing Pianist
Inspired by our groundbreaking Flagship 301, The Essential 201 brings the ergonomic benefits of narrow-key design to a wider audience. Students, teachers, and adult learners can finally experience:
Natural Reach: Effortlessly master octaves, large chords, and wide stretches.
Improved Technique: Support proper hand alignment and significantly reduce tension and strain.
Musical Focus: Shift your attention away from physical limitations and back to your musicality.
Quality Sound & Authentic Feel
The Athena NK5.5-201 offers a warm, musical piano tone paired with a responsive graded hammer action. This combination makes it an excellent choice for developing technique, musical expression, and confidence in any home or teaching studio.

Reviews
I love my Athenas!!! What a difference they make to my playing and my hand and body comfort. I have a 301 which is my joy and also have a 201 which I keep at a venue where I play twice a week. People comment on the quality of the sound when I play. It’s a large venue and I use an amplifier. The quality is excellent. I love the touch, the sound and of course the comfort.
I’m now able to play rich chords I could never manage before. From classical to rag to jazz to Latin my Athena’s sound amazing
Because of Athena, I will now be able to play the repertoire of my dreams completely, without feeling small. Thank you for seeing those of us who cannot reach these distances, and for giving us the opportunity to feel whole.
I am only a beginner starting piano at 65, with a 6.5 inch hand stretch. I chose this piano to give myself every advantage, and it is for my own pleasure. That said, it's a good basic piano. Frankly I don't use any of the other sound options, nor the metronome (use phone app). My 2 gripes are that some notes can sound sort of electronic-y, and I REALLY wish the keys were hammer-weighted for a more piano-like feel, given the price. I may still get a full-size when I get better at playing.
I am very excited for this project! I already have two students who have ordered theirs, and I think once mine arrives there will be more forthcoming. Thanks for all your work!
