After two decades of using a regular sized piano keyboard, this is a game changer. It took some time to adjust, especially with fast jumps but the ability to reach larger intervals with middle notes comfortably brought me incredible joy as a pianist. I only wish the speakers were louder and more full sounding
When I first received my Athena, I got to enjoy the overall comfort of small keys but was bothered by the feel of the black keys, which felt and sounded muffled, especially on the default voice (German grand piano). The June 2026 firmware update provided by the team (with simple instructions for easy download and installation) instantly and vastly improved my experience. Still favor a different voice (grand piano 623) from default, but am now fully enjoying the Athena experience!
I love my Athena so much I am taking her with me to Grad school next year. So happy to be able to pursue further musical qualifications with a piano that fits my hands!
Narrow keys are a game-changer for small-handed pianists. I got Athena to confirm the size I want for my keyboard on my grand. It's a nicely engineered keyboard that does exactly what it promises -- provides a small keyset for pianists to explore their full potential. I changed my technique a bit after practicing for months on small keys, and it made me a better pianist on big keys as well.
I gave up on learning the piano decades ago as I reached pieces with notes I couldn't. Finally picking the piano lessons back up and have been absolutely loving it!
